I don't have a whole lot to say today, though I definitely have the brains to write (not the body to dance, unfortunately... I was feeling drained already today, think it's probably the lack of sleep and still being in postviral fatigue), but we lost one student today. Not to death, just to reassure you, but to life.
Yeah. I never thought I'd ever write a sentence like this lol. But she is fine, just overloaded.
"Hello everyone,
I've given myself a bit of time to make up my mind, but I won't be able to attend the classes this year due to my schedule. Thank you all again for your positive energies!
I hope to see you at the workshops ❤️🥰
Have a good week 🙏💫"
I replied:
"Oh no... well. The little we've known each other, it was cool. See you around!"
Hikianalia hearted my message. A few other girls reacted to the one who's going: Theia, Kore, Muriel, Hikianalia... the lady who is from the old guard who I haven't been able to name yet...
Gina also added her reply:
"Don't blame yourself, you do as you can at this moment in your life... 💋"
She's really lovely. I hearted it. Hikianalia added a prayer emoji.
Also, apparently, I'm not the only one who's been absent for a while. One other lady said that she was happy to see us again, thanked us for the dance videos and especially the slowed down versions, apologizing for not being able to practice at home, and in her message, it seemed that she had not been able to attend for a hot minute.
Could she also have had COVID like me?... I do hope not, obviously, for her own sake, but makes me wonder if I could be the first or at least part of a group that might miss a bunch of dance lessons over the autumn and winter (and possibly spring).

Honestly at this point, all that I can hope for is for my goddamn stamina to be back. Even just standing for too long gets tiring and I hate, HATE having to sit or lay down all the time.
I do hope what the elected official who works with my mom says the truth. That with COVID this year, you're sick one week, you're sort of recovering the second, the third you're wrapping it up.
I do also hope to make it on Thursday as to be able to attend before the break.

By the way. I thought again about Despina and the mele she wanted to do with a friend.
...If Hikianalia said no to performing it, then why not do it by themselves?
I mean, regardless of what our teacher says, we can do whatever we want in private. It's just that she wants to have complete control over the festival program (which is totally valid, by the way, it's her school!). If you otherwise don't demand any stage time or anything... what actually prevents you from doing it?
