MRI

So, I did it. I hated it. Lol.

I had to fast for three hours prior to the exam and do an enema. Nothing much was getting out at all, so I figured that I didn't have much to clean in the first place.

The MRI itself, well. If you haven't ever had one, you basically get into a sort of big scanner that has a massive magnet. And this shit is LOUD.

But the worst isn't the loud noises. It's the fact that you wear a belt that prevents too ample breathing moves, plus a little sand bag on you, and another thing around you for "the pictures". That's how the technician vulgarized it to me, anyway.

At first, it's beeps, it's buzzes... but I had some serious panic five minutes in, when the magnet started acting. Pressed the emergency button. Technician asked me if I wanted to be done with the exam. I said, well, we have to get to the end.

After the exam, especially since right before they inject you something that can cause serious hypoglycemia to diminish your intestine's motility as to not have it blur images, I went for a snack... but when I came home, not only did the enema finally work (and give me some massive watery diarrhea that stank like hell), but I was also so. fucking. nauseous.

I fought nausea for an hour, an antiemetic in. It's eased now, but for fuck's sake, this shit's a nightmare. I genuinely thought I'd end up throwing up. Mom told me to let it out, that I'd feel better after, but it looks like I managed to get through without needing such extremes.

I'll know in about 48 hours if I have endo. That said... I might apparently still have it even if the MRI shows nothing. Plus, given that I panicked a little and moved and would breathe "too hard" (understand: I was trying to breathe slow and deep, and the weight on my body didn't exactly make it easy)... the pictures are slightly blurry.

I wish Hopoe was here. I guess she knows a bit about those, given that she has endo, herself. Or maybe... Patty. I don't know if Patty had one or if hers got diagnosed thru the ultrasound, but Patty, too, could've been here. Other than them, I have no idea if there's anyone around me who suffers from it.

ALSO CAPELLA YOU LUCKY ONE. She only experiences tiredness and low mood as a side effect of her period. How I envy you, Capella...
